Expect a big crowd at the L&L Hawaiian Barbecue on Keeaumoku Street in Walmart on Thursday, where Eddie Flores is doing 76-cent plate lunches again.
The local drive inn is treating the community on its birthday for the ninth consecutive year.
The annual 76-cent plate lunch celebration will begin from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at its Keeaumoku location only.
In addition to the three plate lunches offered, there will be limited number of 100 ramen burgers available for 25-cents.
Pepsi fountain drinks will also be offered at 10-cents each.
The first ten customers in line will receive a month’s supply of Pepsi drinks and the first 100 customers will receive a free L&L T-shirt.
Last year’s celebration included more than 2,100 participants. People started lining up the night before for the low-priced plate lunch deal.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Goodwill Industries of Hawaii, supporting their mission, to help people with employment barriers to reach their full potential and become self-sufficient.
Goodwill has provided job training and job placement services in Hawaii since 1959.
