A visitor from Texas fell to her death on Maui.
The incident was reported just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Haleakala National Park.
Fire officials say the 54-year-old woman fell into a pool south of Hana.
Officials say she was 15 feet up on a narrow ledge at Oheo Gulch (Seven Sacred Falls).
She was trying to get to another pool, when she fell.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Maui police, the woman was identified as Cheryl Black from McKinney.
Investigators say the cause of her death is unknown pending autopsy results.
