Ward Village is launching a new monthly film series Thursday night.
Courtyard Cinema will take place on the second Thursday of each month and showcase a selection of films curated by the Hawaii International Film Festival. The event is free and open to the public.
Courtyard Cinema kicks off with “Bella Vita,” a surf documentary that chronicles surfer, artist, and environmentalist Chris Del Moro on a pilgrimage back to his ancestral homeland in Italy.
Filmmaker Jason Baffa will be on hand to answer questions from the audience following the screening.
Food trucks, activities and other special guests are also planned.
The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Ward Village Information Center and Sales Gallery on 1240 Ala Moana Blvd.
