Two-time first team AVCA All-American and two-time Big West player of the year Emily Hartong is taking her talents to the professional ranks.
The former University of Hawai’i star outside hitter (2010-2013) has signed with Volero Zurich of Switzerland.
Hartong posted on her Instagram account early this morning: “Thrilled to announce I will be a member of Swiss champion Volero Zurich next season! Thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible, from my friends and family in CA to my ohana in Hawaii ! It’s gonna be quite a ride and I can’t wait to get started!”
The former Lady Bow, one of the most decorated in program history, joins a roster that used to be home of Robyn Ah Mow-Santos. While playing for Valero Zurich, her last professional stop, Ah Mow-Santos was named league most valuable player.
