The man accused of jumping from the second-floor of a building while holding a baby has now been charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.

Police say 35-year-old Zelig Pickering remains in the hospital recovering from injuries.

Emergency responders were called to the apartment building on Waialae Avenue Sunday morning.

A witness said he saw Pickering on the balcony, with the crying baby in his arms.  Minutes later, he jumped.

The 11-month-old baby was injured and taken to the hospital in serious condition.
