ORLANDO, FL (WKMG/CNN) – There will soon be more fun available for Harry Potter fans in Orlando.
There’s already an attraction at the “Islands of Adventure” theme park.
It will be connected by train to a new one at Universal Studios.
A sneak peek was offered Wednesday night, ahead of the July 8 opening.
It’s the moment Harry Potter fans from around the world have been waiting for, a first look inside Diagon Alley.
Stars from the movies lead us in first tonight.
The entrance to Diagon Alley is surrounded by shops that have come to life straight from the big screen and pages of JK Rowling’s 7 novels.
“It’s completely immersive soon as you go in there’s nothing to break that illusion, you are in it from the moment you’re in there until the moment you leave,” Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) said.
The first thing your eyes can see is the dragon, which will blow out hot air at any given moment.
It sits above Gringotts Bank which houses the attractions big ride — The Escape from Gringotts, a rollercoaster, after you’ve made your way through the vault.
The Hogwarts Express is what will take you between the original Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Diagon Alley — a huge hit with the movie’s stars.
“You do think that you’re back in the UK when the train comes in to Kings Cross Station it is exactly like if you got the train into Kings Cross what you see and all that stuff the attention to detail is just out of this world,” James Phelps (Fred Weasley) said.
After walking the red carpet and talking with the media, the cast made a grand entrance into Diagon Alley.
“The people in there know so much about Diagon Alley and the land and there’s all these interactive moments that you can even before you get to the final experience ride, waving wands and all these things happen in windows,” Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) said.
