Work on H-1 Fwy. airport viaduct starting Friday night

The Department of Transportation (DOT) advises Oahu motorists of continuing construction on the H-1 Fwy. Airport Viaduct this weekend.

Up to three right lanes will be closed on the H-1 Fwy. in the eastbound direction between the Kamehameha Hwy. Overpass and the Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) from Friday 9 p.m. and continuously through midnight Sunday, June 23.

All ramps to and from the airport will remain open. Lanes on Nimitz Hwy. beneath the viaduct work zones may also be closed as a safety precaution.

The DOT urges drivers to allow for extra travel time to the airport.
