Honolulu firefighters responded to an accidental spark that grew into a fire on Sand Island.
The incident was reported just after 2 a.m. Tuesday at the Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant on Sand Island Parkway.
Officials say when firefighters got to the scene, they found an open flame coming from an incinerator.
Captain on the scene said a plant worker accidentally sparked the fire.
The fire was under control within 30 minutes and no injuries are reported.
The plant was not affected.
