Dozens of residents in Pauoa got their water back Wednesday afternoon after a water main break the day before.
The break was first reported at about 5:30 p.m Tuesday on Kanealii Avenue.
The Board of Water Supply says the broken 8-inch main initially cut service to 44 customers, but overnight, the number went up to 70 because other valves had to be shut during repairs.
Water was restored at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and Kanealii Ave. between Pauoa Rd. and Kaia St. was reopened at 5:30 p.m.
