ASP Big Wave Tour gets the green alert

A new era of the ASP is about to begin. The Big Wave Tour’s inaugural season’s first event got the green alert today, as the Billabong Pico Alto in Peru will hit the water in Peru.

35-to-40 footers are expected, with 24 surfers are slated to take part in the event. Hawaii natives Makua Rothman, Khol Christensen, and Jamie Sterling will join former Eddie Aikau champions Kelly Slater and Greg Long.

The event begins tomorrow at 3:45 a.m. Hawai’i time. To watch, click here.
