The Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate who escaped last month appeared in court Wednesday.
Daniel Skelton went before a judge to face charges on a separate case, but asked to have his case continued until next week.
The judge agreed, but not before having some strong words for Skelton.
“We’re at the end of the road here,” said Circuit Court Judge Steven Alm. “I told you repeatedly not to run away and you didn’t run away for a long time, but now that you’ve run away, I’m looking at the open term.”
Investigators say Skelton escaped from the prison last month by climbing through a hole in the roof.
He was on the run for two days before authorities captured him.
Officials are still investigating how exactly Skelton got out of OCCC.
