Urban Maori group JGeeks to perform at Turtle Bay

Turtle Bay Resort is hosting an Independence Day celebration with an all-weekend lineup of family-friendly activities, entertainment, and fireworks.

The resort’s Fourth of July celebration is open to the public and will include food booths, prize giveaways, and live music from Kapena and more.

On Saturday, July 5, Ron Artis II will be JGeeks, an urban Maori group combines traditional waiata and dance with humor, technology and 21st Century street moves.

More than 500 participants are expected to take part in Da Hui Paddle Race long course, starting at the resort, or the short course, starting at Sunset Beach, with both finishing at Waimea Bay.
