(WBBH/CNN) — A Florida doctor is offering his services to help a young Mississippi girl who lost an eye when she was attacked by a dog.

Victoria Wilcher made news when her family said she was kicked out of a KFC in Jackson, Miss., because of her appearance. A claim that KFC found no evidence of happening.

Dr. Raymond Peters, who is a prosthetist in Naples, Fla., wants to make sure the child gets a prosthetic eye.

“That’s a lot of work that has to be done for this child and it has to be done right,” he said. “My business is that baby, to help that child.”

Peters estimates Victoria will need about 20 eyes or more as she grows over the next 10 years.

He is committed to making sure she gets the help she needs.
