The Transportation Security Administration is raising passenger security fees effective July 21 at U.S. airports.
Tthe fees help fund TSA airport security efforts.
Tight now air travelers are paying $2.50 for each plane they take to get to a destination.
The fee is capped at two plane rides each way but the TSA will start charging a flat fee of $5.60 each way, no matter how many planes you board en route.
Congress approved the higher fees last December to help fund the TSA.
