The Ford Motor Company is announcing several recalls over safety issues.
There are six recalls in total, affecting about 100,000 vehicles in the U.S.
The largest recall of more than 92,000 vehicles affects the 2013 and 2014 Taurus, Lincoln MKS, Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT models.
Also affected are the 2012-2014 Edge models, and the 2014 Lincoln MKX.
The car maker says the right-hand half-shaft that is part of the axle can disengage over time.
Ford is also recalling more than 5,000 2011-2014 F-59 commercial stripped chassis. That’s because corrosion could lead to a fire risk.
Also being recalled are more than 2,000 2014 Ford Escape SUVs, this because their panoramic glass roofs might leak or fall out.
Ford will notify owners and dealers will repair the vehicles for free.
