Dillingham Blvd.

A motorcyclist and his passenger were injured, at least one critically, Tuesday morning in a crash on Dillingham Blvd.

The crash occurred at around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Kohou St.

Police say a truck belonging to a plumbing company was traveling east-bound on Dillingham Blvd. and turned left onto Kohou St. when it was hit by a motorcycle traveling west-bound.

The motorcyclist is a 31-year-old man and his passenger is a 24-year-old female. Police say they were not wearing helmets.

There are conflicting reports regarding the extent of their injuries. Police say both were hospitalized in critical condition, but according to Emergency Medical Services, the man was in critical condition and the woman was in serious condition.

Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash.

The west-bound lanes of Dillingham Blvd. and all but one one east-bound lane were closed at Kohou St.while police conducted an investigation.

The road has since been opened.
