HPD investigating Waipahu armed robbery

Honolulu police are looking for two suspects in an armed robbery in Waipahu.

The incident happened just before 3:45 a.m. on Farrington Hwy. at the Longs Drugs in Waipahu Town Center.

According to police, two men were armed when they entered the store.

Employee May Reyes told KHON2 she was at a register when the men approached her with knives.

“All of a sudden the guy in just a split second he came, and he told me open it. So I opened the drawer, and he told me give me everything. So, I gave him everything,” she said.

Reyes said she did what she was trained to do as a teller at Longs Drugs.

The suspects are described as 5 feet 4 inches tall with medium build and wearing dark, long-sleeved shirts and bandannas around their faces to conceal their identities.

One of the suspects was wearing shorts and the other suspect was wearing pants. One of the suspects had a knife and the other had either a pole or knife.
