BELLEVUE, WA (KIRO/CNN) – Three human skulls were found in the Goodwill donation box in Bellevue, Washington.
The medical examiner says two of the skulls are adults that were clearly used in a medical clinic or teaching setting.
The third skull appears to be the fragile remains of a Native American child and is at least 100 years old.
“One of the things that was interesting about one of the skulls is that it was clearly very old, and so i think that’s always the question, is that of historical significance? Does it need to be returned,” Katherine Boury, Goodwill spokeswoman said.
The child’s skull was packaged in a green box.
A red and white scarf was also found in the donation box.
