Honolulu police arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection with a murder in Kahaluu.
Samuela Mataele was transferred to the main cell block in Honolulu Monday morning.
Prosecutors charged him Tuesday with second-degree murder, first-degree terroristic threatening and a firearm violation. His bail is set at $250,000.
The incident occurred just after noon Sunday on Waihee Road.
Police say Mataele fired one round from a rifle, hitting a 65-year-old man in the head. The victim was pronounced dead at 7:15 p.m. Sunday at the hospital.
Mataele then threatened to shoot a 36-year-old, but that man was able to run away and alert police. Mataele also reportedly stole a wallet from a 17-year-old male during the incident.
He was caught after a seven-hour manhunt.
