Motorcycle crash near Tripler Army Medical Center

Honolulu police report a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning near Tripler Army Medical Center.

The call came in at 2:20 a.m. Saturday. The adult male cyclist, reportedly from California, was driving down Jarrett White Road when he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected from his seat.

He suffered head injuries and was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The cyclist wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Speed was a factor in the solo crash, and an investigation is ongoing to see if alcohol was also a factor.
