Mariota, Woolsey, Higgins take part in GPA’s “Quarterback Challenge”

In the shadows of Kalaepokahu Sunday afternoon, it was a 50th state Quarterback display, as University of Oregon QB Marcus Mariota along with UH wingmen Jeremy Higgins and Ikaika Woolsey broke out the cannons on the final day of the GPA Maximum Experience Camp at Saint Louis School.

Before 185 campers grade 6-9, the three FBS Qbs took part in the “Quarterback Challenge” showing their arm strength and accuaracy alongside a handful of current high school arms including reigning OIA Champion McKenzie Milton of Mililani and the impressive Saint Louis Sophomore Tua Tagovailoa.

The former Crusader Mariota, who is entering his junior season at Oregon as a two time all Pac-12 Quarterback and Heisman Trophy favorite, said following the 45 minute display, “we have an incredible amount of influence with these kids, so they get to come out here and have fun and it’s really humbling for me to come out here and experience it all again. I just enjoy it look forward to seeing some of these kids grow and see where they end up.”
