The Honolulu Fire Dept. reports that the windward area got the worst of the heavy rains that hit Oahu overnight.
Between midnight and 6 a.m. Sunday, there were 13 water evacuation calls, with people’s property being flooded.
There were also three calls reporting downed power lines, electrical hazards and smoking transformers.
A few car crashes were also reported, but there’s no confirmation if they were weather-related.
A call did come in at midnight of a car stuck in the mud near Waikane Bridge.
With overflowing water, the bridge could not be crossed, and water was reportedly coming into the car.
A woman and her son were extricated from the vehicle and moved to higher ground. No injuries were reported.
And just a reminder that a flash flood watch remains in effect for Oahu and the rest of Hawaii until 6 p.m. Monday.
