Freeway and street lane closure schedule: July 25-Aug. 1

Schedule of lane closures due to the H-1 Freeway Rehabilitation Project and the rail project, starting Friday:

(Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.)

— H-1 FREEWAY —

SALT LAKE TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

9 p.m.-4 a.m. Friday through Monday: Right lane closures in the eastbound direction between the Radford Dr. overpass and the Airport off-ramp (Exit 16) for deck repairs.

Speed limits will be reduced to 15 mph in order to minimize traffic-induced vibrations that may lead to cracking or delaminations in the newly repaired deck.

Airport Viaduct improvements include concrete deck replacements, expansion joint repairs and pavement restriping. Work is located between the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the Keehi Interchange.

HONOLULU

7 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday: Partial closures of the Pali Hwy. off-ramp, the Kalihi St. on-ramp and the Punchbowl St. on-ramp in the westbound direction.

8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday through Friday, Aug. 1: Full closures in the westbound direction between Ward Ave. Overpass and Middle St., also partial closures in the eastbound direction between Middle St. and the Ward Ave. overpass.

9 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday through Friday, Aug. 1: Lane closures in the westbound direction between Koko Head Ave. off-ramp (Exit 26A) and Likelike Hwy. off-ramp (Exit 20A) for overhead sign work. Closure may also include the Pali Hwy. off-ramp (Exit 21B), the Punchbowl St. to H-1 westbound on-ramp (Exit 21B) and the Palama St. off-ramp (Exit 20C).

PEARL HARBOR

8 p.m.-4 a.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 1: Two right lane closures in the eastbound direction between Radford Dr. overpass and the Airport off-ramp (Exit 16) for overhead sign work.

— H-2 FREEWAY —

WAIPIO

8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday: Lane closures in the Honolulu-bound direction between the Ka Uka Blvd. off-ramp (Exit 2) and the Waiawa Road overpass.

— H-3 FREEWAY —

AIEA

9 p.m.-4:30 a.m. Sunday through Friday, Aug. 1: Lane closures on all on- and off-ramps at the Halawa Interchange in the southbound (town-bound) direction for pavement installations.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

HONOLULU

9 p.m.-9 a.m. Friday through Sunday: Full closure at the intersection of Valkenburgh St. and Nimitz Hwy. due to deck repairs happening above.

— PALI HIGHWAY —

6 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday: Right lane closure in the southbound direction between the tunnels and Waokanaka St. for road maintenance.

— ALA MOANA BOULEVARD —

KAKAAKO

9 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday: Lane closures in the eastbound direction between Punchbowl and Kamakee Sts. for utility installations.

HONOLULU

9 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday: Right lane closure in the eastbound direction between Keawe St. and Ward Ave. for sewer repair.

— VINEYARD BOULEVARD —

HONOLULU

7 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday: Two-lane closure in the eastbound direction between Queen Emma and Miller Sts. for repaving work.

The H-1 Rehabilitation Project is upgrading the freeway sub-surface and asphalt to provide a longer-lasting, smooth riding surface, provide an additional lane in each direction, install upgraded lighting, improve drainage, and install glare screens along the median.
