A Laumaka Work Furlough inmate who went missing last month has returned to the Oahu Community Correctional Center, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Eric Pixley, age 49, turned himself in at OCCC at about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday. He will be booked on an additional escape charge.
Pixley went missing at a 1:30 a.m. headcount on July 26. How he left is still under investigation.
Laumaka is a minimum security work furlough center for community custody inmates. It is located a block away from OCCC. Inmates assigned to Laumaka are either actively seeking employment or working in the community
Pixley was serving time for a probation violation.
