There were reports of two serious accidents on Oahu roads early Saturday morning.
Honolulu police and Emergency Medical Services responded to a call around 12:45 a.m. of a motorcycle crash on Kamehameha Hwy. near the Weed Circle junction area.
A 32-year-old male was riding his 2003 Harley Davidson alongside another cycle when he lost control making the turn from the junction onto the highway.
A witness on the other cycle said that the driver’s bike crashed into the southbound metal guardrail and the driver was ejected from the bike into the bushes.
The driver was not wearing a helmet and was declared dead on arrival.
Speed and alcohol are possible factors in the motorcycle crash.
Then later at 2:24 a.m., EMS responded to a call of a car crash on School St.
The lone driver lost control of the SUV going westbound, hit a parked car, veered left, breaking through a chain link fence and falling 30 feet on to the H-1 Fwy. School St. off-ramp.
The 43-year-old male driver was in serious condition and taken to a nearby trauma center.
