Maui fire crews are battling a 30-acre brushfire in Maalaea Tuesday.
The call came in at 9:14 a.m. on the mauka side of Honoapiilani Highway, on the slope of the mountain.
Because of the inaccessibility of the area, two helicopters were utilized, according to officials.
Ground crews are making their way to the fire and will begin mop-up operations.
The fire is considered 85-percent contained.
A fire prevention inspector is on-scene conducting an investigation.
