A company that closed its chain of arcades following the prosecutor’s cease-and-desist letter back in May has re-opened some of its locations.
The company formerly known as Winner’z Zone has re-branded itself as WZ Family Entertainment Center.
In a statement, the company said it re-configured all of the arcade games to ensure they’re in compliance with Hawaii state law.
There are no longer any cash prizes.
The company re-opened its Waiakamilo, Ward, Kaneohe and Kaimuki locations this month, and it plans to re-open its Pearl City and Waimalu locations next month.
