Maui police search for suspect in Wailuku armed robbery

The Maui Police Department is investigating an armed robbery in Wailuku.

Police say on Monday, July 28, just before 11:30 a.m., a man walked into the Waiehu Super Stop on 270 Waiehu Beach Road, brandished a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are asking for help identifying him. He’s described as possibly being in his 20s, between 5’1″ to 5’3″ and 130 pounds.

He was wearing black and blue plaid pajama pants with a San Diego Chargers logo on the front.

Anyone having information is urged to call Detective Dennis Lee at 244-6423.
