TSA offering $15,000 for airport screening ideas

TSA PreCheck Expansion

Just about everyone that has jumped on a plane has been stuck in the airport security line.

Have you ever thought of a better way? A more efficient way to line up?

The Transportation Security Administration wants to hear your ideas, and will pay you for them.

The TSA is offering cash reward(s) for “the Next Generation Checkpoint Queue Design Model” with a total payout of $15,000.

At least one award will be $5,000 or more and no award less than $2,500.

The TSA currently has the Pre✓™ expedited screening program to alleviate the process. Passengers in this program are not required the remove their shoes, 3-1-1 compliant liquids, jacket, belt, and may keep their laptop in bag for screening.

At this time of this post, about 3,000 submissions have been made to the challenge.

The contest ends Aug. 15.
