A large piece of land on Maui is undergoing a transformation.
As KHON2 first reported last night, the state broke ground Thursday on the Central Maui Regional Sports complex in Wailuku.
A total of 65 acres of land will be developed in phases.
When it’s done, it will have baseball, softball, and soccer fields. There will be comfort stations, concession stands and parking.
The sports complex is expected to be finished in fall of 2015.
