Beretania St. reopened after suspicious package scare

All lanes of Beretania Street are now open to regular traffic.

The major street was previously shut down near the State Capitol due to a suspicious package.

The unattended package was discovered at around 9:40 a.m. near the Eternal Flame War Memorial across the street.

Deputy sheriffs and Honolulu police issued an all-clear at around noon.

The Miller Street parking entrance into the State Capitol has been reopened.
