Fehoko among prep football’s top recruits for 2015

Breiden Fehoko

With Hurricane Iselle out of the way, prep football can finally commence. Many names headline this upcoming high school season. From legendary head coach Cal Lee making his return to the Saint Louis sidelines; to all the D1 prospects shining under the Friday night lights, this upcoming football season looks loaded with talent.

One player in particular seems to be grabbing the attention of not only the state, but colleges all around the country. Farrington’s Breiden Fehoko, the Texas Tech commit, has received offers from power house schools like Alabama, Texas A&M and Oregon. According to Fehoko, all the pride in the exposure and accolades goes to expanding the reputation of football in the 50th state.

“We I mean we take a lot of pride, I mean the class of 2015 alone has I mean so much scholar athletes, division 1 bound,” said Fehoko. “It’s such an honor and a blessing that we’re able to not only do this for our class, but for the upcoming classes. Set the stepping stones for them and set the bar higher for each and every class that comes through.”

This upcoming 2015 class is filled with talent on both sides of the ball. Names like Fred Ulu-Perry of Saint Louis, Punahou’s Semisi Uluave and Canton Kaumatule, and many more will be showcased this weekend and throughout the season; a season which many are saying could be the hosting best year of talent in the prep ranks.

Fehoko, the six-foot-three, 290 pound defensive tackle, recorded 53 solo tackles and 24.5 sacks last season (maxpreps).

“For us, it’s a big deal I mean some people have talked about us being one of the greatest classes,” said Fehoko. “But that’s not for us to look into and start writing on that, it’s for us to work hard, take it as a good compliment and work even harder.”

The prep football season kicks off Friday, August 15th.
