Maui Sabers Football

WAR MEMORIAL STADIUM- It was the Soane Vaohea show as week three of Hawaii prep football kicked off Thursday. Maui High, the division one preseason favorite, crushed division two’s Kamehameha Maui 48-11.

Vaohea, who plays both running-back and defensive-back, took one to the house as well as picking off Kamehameha-Maui for an interception for the Sabers (returned to the one yard line).

Maui was originally winning 5-0 early in the game, but the tides turned with Vaohea’s first half performance. With the victory, Maui High improves to 2-0 while the Warriors fall to 0-1.
