Additional security measures will be in place at Kalani High School for the rest of the week.
Police officers and security were on campus Wednesday after the school received a threatening message Tuesday that someone was planning to harm the students.
“People seemed fine and only one or two students were scared not many were,” said student Lian Noonan.
“It was pretty empty. It was well under control. I felt like the school handled it well,” said student Darius Despain.
Less than half of the students showed up for class.
The DOE isn’t saying much about the situation. A spokeswoman said in a statement, “There is no information to report at this time. Again, classes and student activities resume as normal. If that changes, we will let parents know.”
According to a letter sent to parents Wednesday, the school says the volleyball game Wednesday night on campus will go on as scheduled, but other after school activities have or may be canceled.
