Hawaiian Telcom has restored service to all customers on Hawaii Island who were affected by Tropical Storm Iselle.

Crews are doing a final sweep throughout the Puna district to identify and address any outstanding items.

Customers still experiencing phone or Internet service problems are advised to call Hawaiian Telcom’s 24-hour service center at 643-6111.

Over the next two weeks, some customers may experience a temporary loss of service of about two hours as Hawaiian Telcom crews replace equipment. These temporary disruptions do not need to be reported unless the outage continues past 6 p.m.

Hawaiian Telcom will continue to provide free Wi-Fi service at the Hawaiian Paradise Park Activity Center and the Pahoa Community Center through the end of September. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To take advantage of the free Wi-Fi, consumers should bring their own laptop computers, tablets and smartphones.
