Honolulu police looking for Waikiki robbery suspect

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating an unknown male who is wanted for robbery in the first degree.

On Monday, Sept. 8, at approximately 6 p.m., the complainant, an elderly visitor from the mainland, met with the suspect on Kalia Road to rent a moped for the day.

The suspect shook the complainant’s hand, knocked him over, reached into his pockets, removed money, and fled on foot.

The suspect is believed to be in his 20s. He’s around 5-feet-10 to 6-feet-2; thin build with spiked, short, dirty blond hair. He was last seen wearing black surf shorts with white plaid design, white-rimmed sunglasses, and large round earrings.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on your cellular phone.
