Volunteer attorneys provide free legal help for Puna residents

With the support of the Hawaii State Bar Association, volunteer attorneys are continuing to provide free legal help to Puna residents recovering from Tropical Storm Iselle and those who may be affected by the lava flow.

The attorneys will be at the following disaster relief clinics from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday: Keaau High School, 16-725 Keaau-Pahoa Road; and Mountain View Gym, 18-1345A Volcano Road.

These clinics aim to help area residents with questions regarding tree damage, insurance claims, renter’s rights, and other legal issues related to the storm damage and lava flow.
