Maui police are investigating an attempted kidnapping report involving a 10-year-old boy.

On Friday, Sept. 26, at about 2:51 p.m., police say a 10-year-old boy reported that an unknown adult male grabbed his arm while he was walking in Pukalani.

Police say the man told the boy to “come here,” and the boy was able to break free and run away.

Police responded and canvassed the area, but was not able to locate the suspect.

The adult male suspect is described to be approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, in his 30s and 240 pounds with medium brown-colored skin and bald with patches of black hair.

He has a tribal diamond-shaped tattoo running along the outside of his right arm.

He was seen driving away in a faded black Honda Civic four-door sedan with dark purple tints. The vehicle also had a white “Piranha” skeleton sticker on the right-rear bumper.

Anyone who has seen or has information about this suspect or vehicle is asked to call 911.
