Schedule of Oahu lane closures due to rail project (Oct. 13-17)

Here’s this week’s schedule of lane closures due to the construction of the Honolulu rail line:

DOWNTOWN HONOLULU/KAKAAKO
Sunday to Thursday

7:30 p.m.-4:30 a.m.: Westbound lane of Queen Street from Fort Street to Nimitz Highway for sewer line repair.

8:30 p.m.-4 a.m.: Multiple westbound lanes of Nimitz Highway between Halekauwila Street and Fort Street for sewer line repair.

H-1 FREEWAY/WAIAWA INTERCHANGE
Sunday to Thursday

8 p.m.-4 a.m.: Two southbound lanes of the H-2 Freeway approaching the Waiawa Interchange (H-1/H-2 merge).

EWA (FARRINGTON HIGHWAY)
The portion of the highway from Kualakai Parkway (North-South Road) to Old Fort Weaver Road will be closed until the end of January 2015.

The eastbound direction of Farrington Highway will be open weekdays between 5 a.m.-6 p.m. The contractor has also restored the left-turn lane from Farrington Highway onto Kunia Road heading northbound to assist motorists with the morning drive.

Those attending the Aloun Farms pumpkin patch events over the next three weekends will be able to enter Farrington Highway from Kualakai Parkway.

Left turns from Farrington Highway in Ewa onto Kunia Road heading northbound have been restored.

WAIPAHU (FARRINGTON HIGHWAY)
Monday to Friday

Leoku Street to Leokane Street
One of the two eastbound left-turn lanes from Farrington Highway onto Leoku Street will be closed 24/7 until the end of the year. The westbound lanes of the highway will be closed overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Aniani Place to Waipahu Depot Road
The westbound lanes of the highway will be closed overnight between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Waipahu Depot Road to Mokuola Street
The inside lanes of the highway will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Paiwa Street to Kahualii Street
One westbound lane of will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. One eastbound lane will be closed from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Drivers may be diverted to the other side of the road during those times.

Westbound left turns onto Paiwa Street and eastbound left turns onto Kahualii Street will be restricted during construction.

Kahualii Street to the Kamehameha Highway overpass
The inside lanes near Waipahu High School and he eastbound lanes near the Kamehameha Highway will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

PEARL CITY (KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY)
Monday to Friday

Waiawa Road to Waimano Home Road
Two westbound lanes will be closed between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. for utility relocation work.

Two eastbound lanes will be closed overnight between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

The intersection at Waimano Home Road is closed after 9 p.m.

One eastbound lane near Home Depot will be closed 24/7 through October.

Puu Poni Street to Kaonohi Street
Two westbound lanes will be closed overnight between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. for utility relocation work. Two eastbound lanes will be closed overnight between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

The intersections at Puu Poni Street and Kaonohi Street will be closed after 9 p.m. .

Drivers heading westbound along the highway will be contraflowed to the eastbound side between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

One eastbound lane near Kuleana Road (HECO-Waiau power plant) fronting Neal Blaisdell Park will also be closed 24/7. Left turns at Kuleana Road will also be restricted.

Left turns will be restricted heading eastbound onto Kaonohi Street between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m.

AIEA/ALOHA STADIUM (KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY)
Monday to Friday

Lipoa Place to Pali Momi Street
One eastbound lane near the Pearl Kai Shopping Center will be closed 24/7.

Pali Momi Street to Honomanu Street
Eastbound drivers in the area will be contraflowed to the westbound side of the highway between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. Area utility work will run until the end of the year.

The eastbound Moanalua Freeway on-ramp near McGrew Point will be closed between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for utility relocation work.

Near Aloha Stadium
Right eastbound lane from the Moanalua Freeway on-ramp to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed 24/7.

Two westbound lanes near the Moanalua Freeway/Kamehameha Highway merge between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Eastbound drivers will be contraflowed to the westbound side of the highway between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m.
