With the holiday season rounding the corner, the Board of Water Supply and Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden (FOHXG) will offer a xeric holiday wreath-making class.
Participants will learn how less-thirsty, xeriscape plants can be used to create colorful and festive holiday decorations.
The class takes place Saturday, Dec. 6, 10:30 a.m.-noon, at Halawa Xeriscape Garden, 99-1268 Iwaena Street.
It is free for FOHXG members and $5 for non-members.
All participants should bring the following items: one round wreath form (straw-type, not foam, and no larger than 12-inch diameter), 50-80 floral “U” pins, clippers, containers to hold wreath materials (i.e. soda box), and any kind of ribbons or holiday embellishments you would like to decorate your wreath.
Registration opens on Wednesday, Nov. 12, and closes at 2 p.m. on the Friday prior to the workshop or when all spaces are filled.
Call at 748-5363 or email email@example.com to register.
