Police reopened one lane of Pensacola Street after a pedestrian accident Tuesday morning.
While the lane was officially closed at approximately 10 a.m. just past Lunalilo Street near the post office, police say the crash occurred at 8:35 a.m.
According to police, a vehicle was turning left from Lunalilo Street onto Pensacola Street when it hit a 52-year-old man.
The man was in a marked crosswalk at the time, police said. He suffered abrasions and possible internal injuries and was taken to Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition.
Police said speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash.
