A family with three children is struggling this holiday season as their youngest was born with a serious health problem.
Mom and Dad have a six-year-old son and a two-year-old son. Their only girl was born seven months ago.
Soon after delivery, doctors discovered she has a bad kidney.
Mom has to stay home while dad works. They are staying with her uncle, but medical bills make it difficult to make ends meet.
Their oldest son is the only one in school and could use the basics like clothing, a lunch box and backpack, but he also turns to music as a coping mechanism and would love an ukulele.
Their two-year-old could use clothing, and would love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys.
And for their baby girl, diapers, wipes, blankets, clothes, sandals and baby soap.
Mom and Dad could use clothes too, but cologne and tools for him and perfume for her would be a treat.
There will also be a telethon for Laulima on KHON2 Thursday from 5-8 a.m. and again from 4-7 p.m. Call 591-6336 to donate.
