It’s not every day that kids in Hawaii get to bundle up for snow, but the students at Kawaiahao Church School in Kakaako enjoyed a “snow day” Friday morning.
It’s a day that kids as young as 15 months old and all the way up to elementary-age students look forward to every year.
“‘Cause it’s fun,” said school director Wailani Robins. “It’s not something that they’re used to. Some of them have gone to the states and they’ve experienced snow, but most of our children haven’t, so they look forward to it every year.”
And the best part was it was a half-day for students, so they got to go home early to start their weekend.
