A man was reported rescued off of the Mokulua Islands Friday afternoon.
Around 4:15 p.m., Ocean Safety personnel rescued an 18-year-old man who suffered a head injury, hip, leg injuries and multiple abrasions. He was apparently climbing up the backside of one of the islands when a rock gave out and he slipped and fell about 15-18 feet.
He was secured and stabilized the patient and brought him on a jet ski to shore. EMS arrived at the Kailua boat ramp and took over treatment, began advanced life support and transported the patient to a trauma center in serious condition.
There is no further word on his condition.
