Schedule of Oahu freeway, highway and road closures: Jan. 20-23

Here’s this week’s schedule of lane closure on Oahu roads (Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.):

— H-1 FREEWAY —

WAIMALU TO WAIPAHU
9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Right lane closure in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu off-ramp (Exit 10) and the H-1/H-2 Split for road widening.
8 p.m.-4:30 a.m. Tuesday-Friday: Two to three right lanes closed in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu off-ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu off-ramp (Exit 8B) for road widening and utility installations.

WAIPAHU
9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Shoulder lane closed in the eastbound direction between the Kunia off-ramp (Exit 5) and the H-1/H-2 interchange for utility installations.

PEARL CITY
8 p.m.-4 a.m. Tuesday-Friday: Lane closures in both directions at the H-1/H-2 merge between the Waipahu Street overpass and the Waiawa Road overpass for the rail project.

MAKAKILO
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Alternating closures on the Makakilo Drive off-ramp in the westbound direction for utility repairs.

— H-2 FREEWAY —

WAIPIO
8 p.m.-4 a.m. Tuesday-Friday: Lane closures in the Honolulu-bound direction between the Ka Uka Boulevard off-ramp (Exit 2) and the Waiawa Road overpass for the rail project.
8 p.m.-5 a.m. Thursday: Lane closure in the southbound direction between the Leilehua Golf Course Road overpass and the Mililani Mauka off-ramp (Exit 5) for bridge joint repair work and utility installations.

WAHIAWA
8 p.m.-5 a.m. Tuesday through Wednesday morning: Lane closures in both directions between Wilikina Drive and the Wahiawa off-ramp (Exit 8) for bridge joint repair work.

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY —

MOANALUA
9-11 a.m. Thursday: Lane closures in both directions between the Puuloa Road overpass and the Middle Street overpass for storm drain maintenance and inspection.

— H-3 FREEWAY —

KANEOHE
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday and Friday:
Lane closure in both directions between the Kamehameha Highway off-ramp (Exit 11) and the Mokapu Boulevard underpass for drain cleaning and inspection.
Right lane closure in the Honolulu-bound direction between the Kamehameha Highway off-ramp (Exit 11) and the Likelike Highway underpass for drain cleaning and inspection.
Left lane closure in both directions between the Kamehameha Highway off-ramp (Exit 11) and the Kailua off-ramp (Exit 14) for shoulder paving and striping.

HALAWA
8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday: Alternating single lane closure in the eastbound direction between the H-201 Moanalua Freeway and the Halawa Valley Street underpass for utility installations.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

PEARL CITY
8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Right lane closure in the westbound direction between Waiawa Road and Kamehameha Highway for the rail project..

MAKAHA
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Lane closure in the southbound direction between Makau Street and Upena Street for utility repairs.

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

HAWAII KAI
9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday: Two lanes closed in the westbound direction between Paiko Drive and East Halemaumau Street for cold planing and resurfacing as part of the Kalanianaole Highway resurfacing project. Left turns allowed up to Halemaumau Street and past Kuliouou Road. U-turns to head back eastbound will be allowed at Kuliouou Road. Police will be stationed throughout the contra-flow section to help direct traffic.

9 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday and Friday: Two lanes closed in the westbound direction between East Halemaumau Street and Hawaii Loa Street for cold planing and resurfacing as part of the Kalanianaole Highway resurfacing project. Left turns coming from the eastbound direction will be allowed up to Hawaii Loa Street and past Kuliouou Street. U-turns to head back eastbound will be allowed at Paiko Drive. Police will be stationed throughout the contra-flow section to help direct traffic.

9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Roving single lane closure in the eastbound direction between West Hind Drive and East Hind Drive for manhole adjustments.

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

PEARL HARBOR
8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Lane closures in the westbound direction between Valkenburgh Street and Radford Drive for pothole repairs.

MILILANI
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Partial closures in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Waihau Street for utility installations and road resurfacing. Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and use alternate roadways such as Kuahelani Avenue, Meheula Parkway, Lanikuhana Avenue, Ka Uka Boulevard and the H-2 Freeway.

8:30 p.m.-4:30 a.m. Tuesday-Friday: Full road closure in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue for road reconstruction, resurfacing and installation of striping and markers. General traffic will be re-routed to the H-2 Freeway, but local traffic access for Kipapa Gulch residents has been coordinated to be escorted through the project site as needed. Advisory message boards have been placed near Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue with the work schedule.

HONOLULU
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Left lane closed in the eastbound direction between Arizona Memorial Place and Arizona Street for roadside maintenance

LAIE
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday: Lane closure in both directions from Akahi Gulch Road to the Polynesian Cultural Center for pole replacements.

WAIKELE
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Alternating single lane closure in the southbound direction between Waipio Uka Street and Lumiauau Street as part of the Lumiaina Street traffic improvements project. Construction will add a dedicated left turn lane on Lumiaina Street in the eastbound direction, turning onto the northbound lanes of Kamehameha Highway towards Mililani. Traffic signals will be modified to provide a left-turn only green arrow for these lanes. Work is anticipated to be completed in June 2015.

— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY —

KALIHI
7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Right lane closure in the northbound direction between Nalanieha Street and Emmeline Place for soil testing.

KANEOHE
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Right lane closure in the Honolulu-bound direction between the H-3 Freeway and the Wilson tunnels for drain cleaning and inspection.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

HONOLULU
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday:
Single lane closure in the eastbound direction between Valkenburgh Street and Main Street for pothole repairs.
Single alternating lane closure in both directions between Elliott Street and Rodgers Boulevard for the rail project.

— PALI HIGHWAY —

HONOLULU TO KANEOHE
9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday: Alternating single lane closure in the Kaneohe-bound direction between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway for drain inspection and tunnel cleaning.

— ALA MOANA BOULEVARD —

HONOLULU
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Right lane closed in the eastbound direction between Kahanamoku Street and Kalakaua Avenue for sewage maintenance.

— VINEYARD BOULEVARD —

HONOLULU
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday:
Two lane closures in the westbound direction between Pali Highway and Aala Street for road repaving work.
Roving lane closures in the westbound direction between Miller Street and Liliha Street for manhole adjustments.
Lane closures at various locations in the eastbound direction between Olomea Street and the H-1 Freeway on-ramp for striping, landscaping and fencing work.

— KALIHI STREET —

KALIHI
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Left lane closure in the northbound direction between Beckley Street and North School Street for manhole inspections. The left turn lane onto North School Street will be closed. Motorists are advised to use North King Street and make a right onto Gulick Avenue to access North School Street.

— LUMIAINA STREET —

WAIKELE
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Left turn lane closed in the eastbound direction at the Kamehameha Highway intersection for road reconstruction. All turns will be allowed from the intersection.

This work is a part of the Lumiaina Street traffic improvements project. Construction will add a dedicated left turn lane on Lumiaina Street in the eastbound direction, turning onto the northbound lanes of Kamehameha Highway towards Mililani. Traffic signals will be modified to provide a left-turn only green arrow for these lanes. Work is anticipated to be completed in June 2015.

— AOLELE STREET —

HONOLULU
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Single lane closure in the northbound direction at the Nimitz Highway intersection for the rail project.

— KILIHAU STREET —

HONOLULU
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday: Lane closure in the westbound direction at the Puuloa Road intersection for water main installations. Westbound traffic will be rerouted onto Mapunapuna Place to access Puuloa Road.

— KANEOHE BAY DRIVE —

KANEOHE
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Single lane closure in the eastbound direction between Kamehameha Highway and Nanamoana Street for striping and drainage work as part of the Kaneohe Bay Drive rehabilitation project.

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday and Friday: Lane closure in both directions between Malae Place and Lale Street for road repaving work. Traffic will alternate in the open lane.

— KUNIA ROAD —

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS
9 p.m.-4:30 a.m. Tuesday-Thursday: Alternating single lane closure in both directions between Lyman Road and Wilikina Drive for pavement marking installations.

— AIEA ACCESS ROAD —

AIEA
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday: Full closure of the Aiea Access Road on-ramp to the H-1 Freeway eastbound between Moanalua Road and Salt Lake Boulevard for road friction surface treatment.
