‘Bows Basketball hosts UC-Davis, Irvine this week at Sheriff Center

The University of Hawai’i men’s basketball team returns home this week to host a pair of Big West Conference games against UC Davis and UC Irvine at the Stan Sheriff Center. The ‘Bows will play the Aggies on Thursday, Jan. 22 (7:00 p.m.) and the Anteaters on Saturday, Jan. 24 (7:00 p.m.). Large crowds are expected, so advance ticket purchases are encouraged.

The Rainbow Warriors are coming off a tough four-point loss at UC Riverside that saw them drop to 1-2 in the Big West and 13-6 overall. Hawai’i squandered an 11-point first-half lead before eventually falling to the Highlanders in the nationally televised contest.

Roderick Bobbitt currently leads the league in assists per game (6.00) and steals per game (2.89). He had an overall solid performance against UC Riverside, posting 10 points, five steals, five assists, and six rebounds before fouling out.

UC Davis enters the game as the class of the conference, currently sitting atop the standings with a perfect 4-0 record. UC Irvine is tied for second at 2-1.
