(CCTV/CNN) — The world’s only surviving giant panda triplets are six months old. Panda breeders in their home of Guangzhou in southern China held a birthday party for the trio on Friday.
All the cubs are in good health and their fur turned black-and-white, like their mother, from being pink when born. They have begun to eat some fresh bamboo by themselves, according to the breeding park.
A breeder said that being six months old shows a sign of a stable life. Chen Shuquig said “the triplets are living with their mother all day long. All of them weigh above 12 kilograms and are in good condition.”
The cubs were born within four hours of each other on July 29, 2014, in Guangzhou. They are the longest living set of panda triplets in history.
