Honolulu police investigated a deadly stabbing in Wahiawa Saturday. It happened at around 6 p.m. at a home on Nakula Street.
Police say a 30-year-old woman suffered a single stab wound to the torso.
According to Emergency Medical Services, a military ambulance responded and transported the woman to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
“I just seen an ambulance and cop cars just kind of drive by as I was coming home and I was just thinking that maybe someone had a heart attack or something bad just happened,” said Ferdy Pancipanci, who lives on Nakula Street.
“I came home maybe after midnight and all I saw across from our roadway was two crime scene unit cars and a police car,” said one Nakula Street resident.
Police arrested a Wahiawa man for second-degree murder but later released him after prosecutors declined the case.
An autopsy was performed Saturday, but the medical examiner has not released the victim’s name or exact cause of death.
