It all started when police found a woman asleep in a car, but it’s what was found on her lap that got her arrested.
Now police are asking for your help in finding that female who didn’t show up in court.
Honolulu police are on the search for Kaala Nakapaahu.
“On March 27, 2014, at about 2 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle for erratic driving on Moanalua Road near Kaahumanu Street and observed a female passenger sleeping in the vehicle,” said Crimestoppers Sgt. Kim Buffett. “Another officer arrived on scene and observed drugs and drug paraphernalia on the females lap while she was sleeping. Further search of the car found other drugs on the floor of the vehicle and within the vehicle.”
Buffett also said that the female was positively identified as Nakapaahu, and was arrested for promoting a detrimental drug in the third degree and promoting a dangerous drug in the third degree.
She’s now wanted on a $30,000 warrant in connection with that case for not showing up for her court hearing last month.
Kaala Nakapaahu is 37 years old, 5’1″ and 150 lbs.
