HONOLULU – The University of Hawai’i men’s basketball team plays its final regular-season game of the year when it hosts UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday, Mar. 4th. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The contest will mark the final home appearance for senior Garrett Nevels who will be honored following the conclusion of the game. Brandon Jawato, who also is closing his career with the Rainbow Warriors, will be recognized as well. It will also be a “Whiteout” night as all fans are encouraged to wear white apparel.
The Rainbow Warriors (19-11, 7-7 BWC) are coming off a 78-59 blowout win over Long Beach State this past Saturday which snapped its first losing streak of the season. The ‘Bows will close the regular season at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday before heading to next week’s Big West Tournament.
UH led most of the way in their previous meeting at UC Santa Barbara (16-12, 9-5 BWC) last month before watching an incredible comeback by the Gauchos doom the ‘Bows in a 75-74 loss.
